Graeter's today revealed its mystery ice cream flavor of 2014.
Salted Caramel Fudge Brownie is now available at all Graeter's stores through April or while supplies last.
Salted Caramel Fudge Brownie features a century-old family recipe of caramel made with slow cooked brown sugar, salt and cream. Then Graeter's artisans fold in soft, chewy sea salt caramel fudge brownies.
Like all other Graeter's flavors, it's made by hand just 2.5 gallons at a time in old-fashioned French Pot Freezers that pushes out air to achieve a rich, creamy taste.
"Salted Caramel is one of our original classic ice cream flavors," said Chip Graeter, fourth generation owner of the family business. "We simmer 100 percent all-natural brown sugar to its slightly salted final state, which is caramel. The bite-sized sea salt caramel fudge brownies make this the perfect flavor combination."
The gourmet brownies are handcrafted especially for Graeter's by Brownie Points, an award-winning company out of Columbus, Ohio, that specializes in gourmet brownies, popcorn and chocolate treats.
