Ellen's crazy Oscar selfie crashes Twitter
The 86th Academy Awards officially ended last night with "12 Years a Slave" winning Best Picture. Jennifer Lawrence fell before entering the ceremony. Oscar host Ellen DeGeneres ordered pizza. Pharrell wore a suit-shorts thing and also danced with Lupita Nyong'o, Amy Adams and Meryl Streep during his song "Happy."
But the record-breaking performance happened when Ellen took a selfie with her friends during the awards show, including Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Kevin Spacey, and Julia Roberts. She then nonchalantly posted it on Twitter.
As of Monday morning, it had been retweeted more than 2.5 million times.
Zoom in on polar bears using Google Street View
Street View partnered with Polar Bears International to capture some amazing images of Churchill, Canada, which is home to one of the largest polar bear populations on Earth. Known as the "polar bear capital of the world," Churchill is in a remote area on the western Hudson Bay. In other words, it's not easy to get there.
Snow aka the french toast alert system
Jeff Creighton spotted empty milk shelves Sunday night at the Anderson Township Kroger store. He brings up a good point: Grocery stores suddenly run out of milk, bread and eggs whenever a winter storm warning is issued.
What is everyone making? French toast? Maybe we should develop a system to help determine when to panic and rush to the store to buy milk, eggs and bread.
Oh wait, someone did that: www.universalhub.com/french-toast
