HEBRON, KY (FOX19) - Allegiant Travel Co. and the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport announced Tuesday that the low-cost airline is offering additional service from CVG to Tampa/St. Petersburg, Fla., Myrtle Beach, S.C. and expanded service to Fort Myers/Punta Gorda, Fla.
CVG said within 30 days of launching flights at the Boone County airport, Allegiant is expanding service by 150 percent, increasing from four flights per week to 10 flights per week. Allegiant launched in February with two flights per week to Fort Myers/Punta Gorda, Fla. and two flights per week to Orlando/Sanford, Fla.
Allegiant's 166-seat MD-82 will fly two-day-a-week service from CVG to Tampa/St. Petersburg on Thursdays and Sundays starting May 15 while flying seasonally to Myrtle Beach, S.C. on Mondays and Fridays starting May 30 and ending Aug. 11.
Passengers can now travel to Fort Myers/Punta Gorda, Fla. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays starting May 1. Service to Orlando/Sanford, Fla. will remain on Mondays and Fridays.
