Tony Hawk apologizes for hoverboard prank

In "Back to the Future Part II," Marty McFly rides a hoverboard in the fictional year of 2015. And after a YouTube video posted Monday, many people thought a real-life hoverboard had already hit the air.

HUVrTech posted two videos with Tony Hawk, Moby, Terrell Owens and more floating around on what is explained to a real hoverboard. Turns out, it was all in good fun. Funny or Die was behind the massive viral campaign which turned out to be a hoax. Mashable reports that the truth was revealed after a costume designer who worked on the shoot posted the experience on her online resume.

Tony Hawk later apologize for the prank:

Sorry to all the skaters. You still need wheels for now.

Lammily: The doll with a real woman's proportions

Move it, Barbie. There's a new fashion doll in town with the proportions of a real woman. Artist Nickolay Lamm used Photoshop last summer to show what Barbie would look like if she had the measurements of an average 19-year-old woman's body, based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. So many people contacted Lamm about actually purchasing one, that he decided to make his own line of dolls.

The "Lammily" doll reflects typical body proportions. The tagline reads "Average is beautiful." Lamm launched his own Kickstarter on Wednesday to raise $95,000 for production of the doll.
