COVINGTON, KENTUCKY (FOX19) - Jeff Ruby's Waterfront restaurant is currently docked in Hebron, Ky. Where it awaits repairs. The Ruby family stated on Friday that the restaurant will re-open and move back to the banks of Covington by early 2015.
The restaurant went adrift on February 6 prompting The US Coast Guard to come to the scene to secure the boat. With the help of Duke Energy, they towed the boat down river Friday morning where it will reportedly go to a dry dock in Hebron.
Two employees, identified as Steve Poe and Bob Fogle, were exiting the restaurant on Thursday as it began to break free.
The boat remains in Hebron where it will remain until repairs are fixed, says Britney Ruby.
