FLORENCE, KY (FOX19) - Police have arrested 32-year-old Eric Billman, charging him with two separate bank robberies last week in downtown Cincinnati and Florence, Ky.
Officers say the suspect first struck the downtown Key Bank branch on East Fourth Street. Authorities say the robbery happened on Tuesday, March 4 around 10 a.m.
Police say a subject entered the bank and passed a note to a teller demanding cash. Officers arrived within minutes of the alarm but the suspect had already fled the bank through the front door. He was last seen running westbound on Fourth Street. An undetermined amount of currency was taken.
Officers say the suspect struck again four days later. The Chase Bank in Florence, Ky., located at 4899 Houston Road, was robbed Saturday around noon.
According to bank employees, a man entered the bank and proceeded to give one of the tellers a note demanding cash. After taking the money, the suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction.
On Tuesday, 32-year-old Eric Billman was taken into custody by Ft. Thomas Police on unrelated outstanding warrants. Following an investigation, Billman was also charged with two counts of robbery.
He is currently being held at the Kenton County Detention Center.
