Cab driver shot to death in North Fairmount

NORTH FAIRMOUNT, OH (FOX19) -

At approximately 12:30 a.m. this morning, police and fire units responded to 1654 Baltimore Avenue for the report of a person shot in a taxi cab. 

Police located the victim who was suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was the operator of the cab and was pronounced dead at the scene.  

The victim has been identified as Mamadou Diop, black male, 56-years-old.  There is no suspect information to release at this time.

Anyone with information about this homicide is asked to call the Criminal Investigation Section at 352-3542 or Crime Stoppers at 352-3040.
