FAIRFIELD, OH (FOX19) - Another Tri-State law enforcement agency will be watching the roads carefully this weekend.
The Fairfield Police Department is participating in a St. Patrick's Day traffic safety blitz Friday through Tuesday.
A federal grant will pay for the program that will enforce seat belt laws, child restraint laws and alcohol related enforcement.
Roadways targeted are:
- Dixie Highway (Ohio 4)
- Pleasant Avenue (U.S. 127)
- South Gilmore Road
- Nilles Road and Mack Road along with the By-Pass (Ohio 4B)
- River Road
- Seward Road
- Symmes Road
- Winton Road
The Warren County Sheriff's Office will have extra deputies patrolling roads starting Friday through Tuesday evening targeting intoxicated drivers during the St. Patrick's Day weekend.
