MACON CO., AL (WSFA) -

The victims involved in a fatal two-vehicle crash Thursday in Macon County are being identified by authorities.

Alabama State Troopers say Macon County resident Walter Williams, 84, was fatally injured in the morning crash along  U.S. Hwy. 29 in Macon County, approximately eight miles south of Tuskegee.

Investigators say Williams' 2001 Chevy Silverado collided with a 2012 Chevy Tahoe driven by Montgomery resident Robert Thomas, 49.

Thomas, an employee with the Alabama Emergency Management Agency, was injured in the crash and was taken to a Montgomery hospital for treatment, according to Troopers.

The Alabama EMA issued a statement saying, "We would like to extend our heartfelt prayers and sympathies to all the families of those involved in this tragic accident."

State Troopers have not released a cause for the crash. An investigation is still ongoing.
