FOX19 signs Tricia Macke to a contract extension

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

FOX19 has signed evening anchor Tricia Macke to a multi-year deal extending her place at the anchor desk of the FOX19 Evening News at 6:30 and the FOX19 Ten O'Clock News.

"Tricia has brought stability and consistency to our evening newscasts for the last twenty years, and we couldn't be happier that she will remain a key member of our team," said General Manager Bill Lanesey. "We could not have had the success we've had without her."

Macke has worked at FOX19 since the debut of the Ten O'Clock News in 1993. She was promoted to main anchor in 1999 and has been the face of 10 p.m. news in Cincinnati ever since. Her more than two decades at the station are a testament to the kind of professionalism and journalistic integrity that she brings day in and day out.

"Tricia is one of the most respected anchors in town, and we are delighted to continue our relationship with her," said News Director Kevin Roach. "We look forward to continue seeing her strong reporting from the FOX19 anchor desk and her insightful franchise called 'Another Side Of.'"

Macke grew up in Cincinnati, went to school here and is raising her family here. She is a rare example of on-air talent staying at the same station for an extended period of time.

"Twenty years is a long time to be at one place which speaks volumes for the relationship FOX19 and I share," said Macke. "FOX19 and I both have the same competitive style, and we're looking forward to more success in 2014 and beyond."
