CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

The Cincinnati Streetcar Maintenance & Operations Facility (MOF) in Over-the-Rhine is starting to rise out of the ground as construction continues on the project.

Crews poured the pit floor this week and will continue to form the pit and exterior walls of the facility, located at Henry and Race streets.

Some of the track work has been laid outside of the future Taft's Ale House, a new brewpub to open in the old St. Paul's German Evangelical Church on Race Street.

The city said production of the car bodies is being done by CAF in Spain, a manufacturer of rail systems throughout the world. The Cincinnati vehicles will ultimately be assembled at CAF's USA facility in Elmira, New York.
