Hundreds of locals and brides-to-be attended Goodwill's fifth annual Wedding Gala at the Goodwill Store in Rivergate on Saturday.
Many people arrived late Friday night, hours before the event, to take advantage of deep discounts.
Area bridal boutiques donated more than 1,500 unworn dresses for the event.
More than 700 designer wedding gowns retailing as much as $6,000 were on sale for less than $400.
All other dresses including prom, cocktail, flower girl, bridesmaid and mother's dresses, and wedding accessories were also on sale for less than $30.
630 dresses, 200 pieces of jewelry, dozens of veils, and several pairs of shoes were sold at Goodwill's 2013 Wedding Gala.
Last year's sale drew brides from as far away as Texas who lined 10 hours early to take advantage of the sale.
