LOS ANGELES, CA (FOX19) - A 4.4 magnitude earthquake hit Los Angeles early Monday causing local news anchors to dive under their desk live on air.
The pre-dawn quake rattled residents from the San Fernando Valley to Long Beach. The KTLA Morning News anchors felt the quake in the studio, located in Hollywood, where they rightfully hid under their news desk.
The 6:25 a.m. quake occurred at a depth of about 5 miles.
It was centered 15 miles west-northwest of the downtown civic center, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The Associated Press reports Los Angeles police and fire officials said there were no immediate reports of damage.
