UFC fighter, Ohio native Matt Brown coming to U.S. Bank Arena

(FOX19) - Xenia native and UFC fighter Matt Brown is taking on Erick Silva at 7 p.m. May 10 at U.S. Bank Arena.

Brown will be on Wednesday's FOX19 Morning News.

The May 10 fight will be UFC's first trip to Cincinnati since Oct. 2007.

Brown is an eighth-ranked welterweight and is returning to action seeking to extend to six-fight win streak. The married father of twin boys lives in Columbus. He's a graduate of Greenview High School in Jamestown, Ohio.

Silva, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, has trained with former UFC champions Anderson Silva and Antonio Nogueira.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday via ticketmaster.com and the U.S. Bank Arena box office.

Additional bouts are:

  • Costas Philippou vs. Lorenz Larkin at middleweight
  • Erik Koch vs. Daron Cruickshank at featherweight
  • Eddie Wineland, Manvel Gamburyan and Nik Lentz also will be in action.
