CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - It's the first official weekend of spring! Find out what events are planned around the Tri-State this weekend and celebrate.

Grouplove at Bogart's

The American indie rock band will be at Bogart's performing hit songs like "Colours," "Tongue Tied" and "Itchin' on a Photograph." 

Details: Thursday. 7 PM. $23 plus fees. 2621 Vine St., Corryville.

Cincinnati Cyclones

The Cyclones are home both nights this weekend against Elmira Jackals. Friday is Cyclones Hat Night/Pucks & Pinot. Saturday kids eat free.

Details: Friday & Saturday. 7:30 PM. $13 to $26.50. U.S. Bank Arena, 100 Broadway, Downtown.

Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra: MusicNOW

Musical worlds merge when Louis Langrée and the CSO embark on a groundbreaking artistic collaboration with Cincinnati's premier new music festival, MusicNOW and Artistic Director Bryce Dessner.

Details: Friday & Saturday. 8 PM. Music Hall, 1241 Elm St., Over-the-Rhine. $12 and up. 

Turtle Canyon at Newport Aquarium

The aquarium's new Turtle Canyon exhibit opens Saturday with more than 14 species from three continents. Exhibit includes a turtle corral which allows guests to touch a variety of turtles, including one of North America's largest tortoise species -- the Gopher tortoise.

Details: Saturday. Opens at 10 AM. Regular hours 10 AM to 6 PM daily. $23, $15 ages 2-12, kids under 2 free. One Aquarium Way, Newport.

CinSation 2014: The Gatsby Gala

An evening of glitz, glamour and Gatsby hosted by the Junior League of Cincinnati. Dinner by the bite will be provided by Cincinnati restaurants competing in the 4th annual "Best Bite of the Night." Tickets include food, open bar and live entertainment. Proceeds support the Mission of the Junior League of Cincinnati.

Details: Saturday. 7:30 PM. $75. Cincinnati Club, 30 Garfield Pl., Downtown.

R&B At Its Best

Dru Hill, 112 and Johnny Gill will perform at the Taft Theatre as part of the R&B At Its Best tour.

Details: Saturday. 8 PM. $40 to $50 plus taxes/fees. Taft Theatre, 317 East 5th St., Downtown.


Local teams build sculptures created entirely from canned and packaged food. After the event, all goods are donated to the Freestore Foodbank.

Details: Through Mar. 23. 10 AM to 5:30 PM Tuesday through Saturday. Noon to 5 PM Sunday. Weston Art Gallery, 650 Walnut St., Downtown. 

Wicked: The Untold Story of the Witches of Oz

Long before Dorothy found herself in Munchkinland, two girls met in the land of Oz. One, born with emerald green skin, is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. A musical that has become a "cultural phenomenon," Wicked is from the witches perspective in the Land of Oz.

Details: Through Mar. 23. $38 and up. Aronoff Center, 650 Walnut St., Downtown.

Art on Vine

Celebrate spring with Art on Vine at Rhinegeist Brewery. There will be up to 25 artists selling artwork as well as A Tavola, Holtman's Donuts and food trucks selling food on site.

Details: Sunday. 1 to 7 PM. Free to attend. 1910 Elm St., Over-the-Rhine.
