City of Villa Hills to debate future of police chief tonight

VILLA HILLS, KY (FOX19) -

A special meeting is called tonight on Rogers Road where the Villa Hills council will debate the future of their suspended police chief, Dan Goodenough.

Goodenough has led the Villa Hills Police Department for almost three decades, but Mayor Mike Martin wants to keep it from going any longer.

"Suddenly the mayor has gone on this witch hunt to go after Chief Goodenough," said Randy Freking, Goodenough's attorney.

Several residents came out for last Monday's meeting to listen to the debate on the police chief's alleged wrong doing in his office.

The disciplinary hearing will be held tonight at 6:00 p.m.

FOX19 will continue to update as more information becomes available.
