VILLA HILLS, KY (FOX19) - The decision on the Villa Hill's police chief was made early Tuesday.
The Villa Hills decided to drop all of the charges against the police chief Dan Goodenough. In return, Goodenough agreed to retire.
This agreement comes after weeks of wrongdoing accusations made by the mayor of Villa Hills.
The mayor claimed the police chief "demonstrated various failures to supervise, cooperate and follow directives."
Those complaints were brought to council in a 64 page report and dismissed last night.
Moving forward, the mayor said he has begun interviewing police candidates for part time positions here in Villa Hills. He also says the city plans to have more information on the future of their police department in 7-10 business days.
