PHOENIX (CBS5) -

An emergency crew from Arizona is in Washington assisting in the search and rescue efforts following massive mudslides.

At least 14 people were killed when a 1,500 foot-wide hillside suddenly fell toward dozens of homes in its path Saturday in Snohomish County, WA.

More than 150 people remain unaccounted for.

Three members from the Phoenix Fire Department Arizona Task Force 1 (AZ-TF1) joined more than 100 others searching for survivors in the quicksand-like conditions.

AZ-TF1 is one of 28 national urban search and rescue teams that are prepared to deploy to natural disasters across the country.

The crew is expected to be in Washington for the next two weeks.

The FEMA Task Force is providing technical and command assistance.
