After giraffe uproar, Copenhagen Zoo kills 4 lions
The Danish zoo that faced protests for killing a healthy giraffe to prevent inbreeding says it has put down four lions, including two cubs, to make room for a new male lion.
Citing the "pride's natural structure and behavior," the Copenhagen Zoo said Tuesday that two old lions were euthanized as part of a generational shift. The Associated Press reports that the cubs were also put down because they were not old enough to find for themselves and "anyway would have been killed by the new male lion."
There's been a wave of backlash on social media once again with many people asking, "what's wrong with the Copenhagen Zoo?"
Ohio firefighter stages fire drill marriage proposal
This is not a drill. Firefighter Justin Deierling of North Canton, Ohio surprised his girlfriend Megan with a marriage proposal during what she thought was a fire drill at Greentown School, where she works as a counselor. His brother shot the entire event and uploaded a video to YouTube.
On March 19, all of the students and staff emptied the building for the drill. That's when she saw the "Will you marry me" sign mounted on the side of the truck. Deierling, who spent two weeks planning the event, proposed in front of the school. According to the Huffington Post, he even brought hundreds of Ring Pops to hand out to the kids afterwards.
She said yes.

$3K buys you a 'social media wedding concierge'
Weddings would not be complete without your loving spouse, the white dress and the beautiful flowers. But don't forget the random guy in the corner live-tweeting, posting pictures on Instagram and status updates on Facebook for $3,000.
The W Hotel is offering what they call a "Social Media Wedding Concierge" at four New York locations. The new service was described to The Huffington Post in pitch email.
The concierge will post live updates to Twitter during the ceremony and reception, post photos and videos to Instagram and even encourage guests to use a specific wedding hashtag.
And that's not all folks. After the wedding, your social media concierge will make a Shutterfly book of all the social media highlights.
