Warrant issued in deadly Hamilton shooting, police seek suspect

HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) -

Hamilton Police have issued an arrest warrant following a deadly shooting in Hamilton on March 21.

Phillip Coleman III, 26, is wanted for the murder of DeAndrew Jackson. Officers say Coleman should be considered armed and dangerous.

Officers say that Coleman shot and killed Jackson around 9:30 p.m. Friday evening. The shooting happened near the intersection of Front and Pershing Streets.

Officials arriving on the scene found Jackson, 24, suffering from a gunshot wound. Jackson was flown to University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment. He was pronounced dead soon after arrival.

Coleman has been described as a black male, 6-feet-2-inches tall and weighing approximately 195 pounds.

Anyone with information on Coleman's whereabouts is asked to contact Hamilton Police at 513-868-5811.
