Cincinnati fire crews battled two separate house fires early Thursday morning.
The first fire was reported at 4 a.m. on Palos Street in Price Hill.
Upon arrival, crews found a working fire on the second floor of a home. Officials say the fire was confined to a bathroom and they were able to contain it after a 10 minute aggressive attack.
The home suffered heavy smoke damage throughout. The occupants were able to safely exit and no one was injured. The cause is still under investigation.
The second fire began around 5:45 a.m. in Madisonville.
Responding units reported heavy fire on the outside of a structure on Merwin Avenue. 33 crew members contained the fire within 10 minutes, according to authorities.
The structure was unoccupied and no one was injured. Officials on scene indicated that the fire possibly started by smoldering fire wood ash left outside the building.
The damage is estimated at $12,000.
