COLUMBIA TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - The Tire Discounters store on Wooster Pike on Thursday set a new Guinness World Record for tire stacking.
Tires were stacked 19.95 feet. The previous record was 19.77 feet.
The attempt at breaking the record happened as the company celebrated the re-opening of its first store.
An independent surveying company was brought in to measure in order to meet the criteria for the record. A forklift and bucket truck were used to raise the tires when the stack grew.
The previous record was set on Sept. 6, 2009 in Wiesental, Germany.
