A $5.8 million pavement rehab project will impact traffic on a one-mile stretch of U.S. 42/U.S. 127 in Boone County. The work is scheduled to start Sunday.
The existing five lanes will be replaced and a left turn lane will be added to Mall Road during the seven month project. The project stretches from Ewing Boulevard to Bentley Court.
Officials say the work will impact traffic with portions of the road being restricted to one lane at certain times.
Alternate routes of such at Mount Zion Road, U.S. 25, Hopeful Church Road, Pleasant Valley Road, Gunpowder Road, Ky. 18 and Camp Ernst Road are suggested to motorists.
Traffic control will be handled differently east and west of Interstate 75 during the project. See KYTC District 6 for lane restriction dates and times.
