(FOX19) - A group honoring the victims of one of the worst concert tragedies in history took the next step in trying to erect a permanent memorial.

On Dec. 3, 1979, 11 people died after being trampled trying to get through the doors of The Who concert at Riverfront Coliseum.

On Friday, the Who concert memorial committee announced it's creating a nonprofit organization so it can get enough money donated to create a permanent memorial on the plaza outside U.S. Bank Arena (Riverfront Coliseum).
