CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A new high-tech area of Great American Ballpark allows all 42,319 fans at a sold out Reds game to connect through social media.

The Reds Connect Zone is a gathering spot where fans' Tweets, Instagram photos, and Vine videos will be displayed on 25 screens located on the third base concourse. The screens will feature online reactions in real time, as well as Facebook polls and trending topics.

If live-tweeting the game drains your battery, head to the Connect Zone where charging stations will be on hand. Free wifi is also offered in the Zone.

"So many fans are using technology now to be involved with the game, so we are launching this new area in the ballpark to showcase social media where fans can engage and see the latest of what's going on with the Reds," Said Reds Director of Digital Content Lisa Braun.

Braun says when it comes to social media engagement, Reds fans rank the highest amongst other Major League Baseball teams.

Interactive social media areas are becoming a trend in ballparks around the country, according to Braun.  Reds are the third team to feature a social media area, with two more ballparks launching them this year.
