About an hour after a possible hazmat call was made near Truman Medical Center Friday night, the scene was cleared.
Capt. James Garrett with the Kansas City Fire Department said it ended up being a suspicious package that was deemed safe.
The hazmat call was made about 6:33 p.m.
While fire crews investigated, police blocked off surrounding streets. Holmes between 22nd and 25th streets was closed.
