Evanston funeral home robbed, racial slurs spray-painted on building's walls

EVANSTON, OH (FOX19) -

Cincinnati Police are investigating after a funeral home was robbed at knife-point and anti-Hispanic slurs were spray painted on the building's walls.

Officers say that the funeral home, located in the 3400 block of Montgomery Road in Evanston, was robbed around 6:30 p.m. Friday. Signs outside the address identify the building as the Jamison-Jamison and Brown Funeral Homes.

Police say that suspects entered the building and brandished a knife. Authorities say that the suspects robbed the funeral home of approximately $700.

Prior to fleeing the building, police say that the suspects spray-painted anti-Hispanic slurs on the walls of the funeral home.

Police are continuing their investigation.
