Westwood Subway robbed, employees tackle suspect

WESTWOOD, OH (FOX19) - Police say that two employees at a Westwood Subway were able to chase down a man suspected of robbing their restaurant.

The Subway located in the 3100 block of Harrison Avenue was robbed around 7 p.m. Sunday night.

Officers say that the suspect fled the store on foot following the robbery. Police say that two teen workers at the Subway chased after the suspect.

Authorities state that one of the employees tackled the suspect on nearby Epworth Avenue.

The suspect was taken into custody.
