CLIFTON, OH (FOX19) -
University of Cincinnati leaders say make no mistake those involved in this past weekend's riot just off campus on Stratford Avenue will face ramifications from the school.
"We have had some students referred for disciplinary
hearings and we will probably be pursuing more hearings as the week goes on
and more information becomes available," UC spokesman Greg Hand said Monday.
Crews in riot gear broke up a massive party early Sunday morning, arresting three individuals.
Cincinnati Police were called in to help as hundreds of students flooded Stratford Avenue at Straight Street.
A cell phone video posted to Instagram showed a crowd of more than 400 students filling the streets. The crowd quickly disbanded after police arrived in riot gear.
UC reported several vehicles were damaged in the incident.
Hand said the university's "student code of conduct not only applies on campus but off
campus as well and those students can be called into disciplinary proceedings
because of their behavior off campus."
