2 arrested after aggravated robbery outside of Green Twp. bank

GREEN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Two men have been arrested following an aggravated robbery in front of a Green Township bank.

Officers received reports of the robbery around 11:40 a.m. on Tuesday. Crews were called to the Huntington Bank, located in the 6100 block of Harrison Avenue.

Police say that two employees from Gabriel Brothers, a nearby business, arrived at the bank to make a business deposit. As the employees neared the front door of the bank, they were approached by a suspect who implied that he had a gun. The suspect has been identified as Joseph Harrison III.

Authorities say that Harrison snatched the deposit from a female employee and shoved her to the ground. Harrison fled on foot down Valleyridge Drive.

Two employees of the bank chased the suspect until he entered a wooded area off of Valleyridge. At this point, a Hamilton County K9 unit and a sheriff's helicopter were called to the scene.

Officers say that Harrison was apprehended in the woods near the 5900 block of Harrison Avenue. All property taken in the offense was recovered.

As short time later, a second suspect, identified as Darion Brown, was arrested. Officers say Brown was an accomplice in the offense.

The incident remains under investigation.
