Police: Over $7K in cigarettes stolen from Delhi store

DELHI TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Delhi Police are searching for suspects after two men broke into Duebbers Carry Out stealing over $7,000 in cigarettes.

Surveillance video from the store depicts two men approaching the store just after 1 a.m. Friday. The store is located in the 6000 block of Cleves Warsaw Pike.

The suspects threw a landscape rock through the store's glass doors setting off an alarm.

Officers say that the suspects entered through the broken glass, carrying two garbage cans. The suspects went behind the counter and loaded the garbage cans with cigarettes. Officers say the stolen cigarettes were valued at over $7,200.

The men then left the store and fled the scene in what appears to be a 2008 or 2009 red Honda Accord, police say. Police say the suspects fled before authorities could arrive.

Authorities note that a similar incident occurred in Green Township on March 30. Police believe the two incidents are related.
