16-year-old girl arrested in Hyde Park bank robbery

KENWOOD, OH (FOX19) - Police arrested a 16-year-old girl Monday afternoon in connection to a bank robbery reported in Hyde Park.

Authorities were dispatched to PNC Bank in the 3700 block of Paxton Avenue around 12:15 p.m. Officers said suspect entered the bank wearing a black hat, black sweatshirt, dark pants and white gym shoes.

Police said the suspect handed the teller a note and demanded money. After receiving an undetermined amount of cash, she fled the scene.

Officers arrested the 16-year-old near Kenwood Towne Center shortly after the robbery was reported. Police were able to quickly locate the suspect because of a tracking device in the money bag.

The teen was transported to the Hamilton County Detention Center.
