Reds game postponed after 6 innings, sets ball park HR record

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

The Reds suspended Monday's game with the Pittsburgh Pirates because of rain and will complete the game Tuesday.

The umpires called it at 10:56 p.m. after a 1 hour, 38-minute rain delay. The game will be completed Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. prior to the regularly scheduled game at 7:10.  Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. with the game tied, 7-7, after 6 innings.

The Reds and Pirates combined to hit 10 home runs in the first 6 innings, setting a new Great American Ball Park record.  Pittsburgh hit back-to-back home runs three different times, twice off Homer Bailey.

The Reds made the following announcement about tickets for Tuesday's game(s):

Non-premium tickets may be exchanged at the box office for Tuesday's continuation of the suspended game at 5:30 p.m. followed by the regularly scheduled game.

Fans holding tickets for the regularly scheduled game at 7:10 p.m. will also be admitted for the continuation of the suspended game.

You may also exchange your non –premium tickets for the Wednesday game with the Pirates at 12:35 p.m. subject to availability.

Bark in the Park tickets may be exchanged for either game however dogs will not be permitted in the ballpark.
