CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Local weather conditions were not ideal to view Tuesday morning's lunar eclipse. Cloud cover blotted out the view of the moon.
However, Cincinnati weather did not stop one area astronomer.
Dean Regas, an Outreach Astronomer for the Cincinnati Observatory, loaded up the telescope, hopped in his car and headed west to see the heavenly show from Illinois.
The site was ideal for the lunar eclipse viewing.
Regas says even though most local residents missed this eclipse, three more will be visible in the next 18 months.
The next total lunar eclipses will occur on:
- October 8, 2014
- April 4, 2015
- September 27, 2015
