Organizers of CincyComiCon presented a check Monday to the Cincinnati Museum Center and announced the convention dates for 2014.

Union Terminal was the model for the Hall of Justice in the 'Super Friends' cartoon. As a result, Grand Poobah of Cincy ComiCon Kendall Swafford said the greater comic book and art community outside of Cincinnati feel passionate about preserving the building.

"Cincy ComiCon is committed to giving back to a community that has given us so much, and we couldn't be happier with our partnership with Cincinnati Museum Center," said Swafford.

Last year's Drink & Draw and art auction raised $5,445 for Cincinnati Museum Center, which Cincy ComiCon delivered Monday during a presentation in front of Union Terminal.

Amateur and professional comic book artists will gather September 5 at Union Terminal for the 2014 Drink & Draw event. Works of art created at the event are auctioned off the following night at Cincy ComiCon with 50 percent of proceeds benefiting the museum. 100 percent of tickets sales from Drink & Draw will also be donated to help preserve Union Terminal.

Cincy ComiCon is September 5 to 7 at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center. Visit to purchase tickets.
