Metro bus crashes into Walnut Hills building

WALNUT HILLS, OH ( FOX19) - Officers say that one person is injured after a Metro bus crashed into multiple buildings Wednesday afternoon in Walnut Hills.

Police say the crash happened just before 6 p.m. at the intersection on Lincoln and Gilbert Avenue.

Representatives from Metro say that the bus was struck by a white SUV. The collision caused the Metro driver to fall out of her seat while the bus continued to move.

The bus struck several vehicles and two buildings.

Metro says that the busses do have seat belts. However, drivers are not required to wear them.

Authorities say that only the driver was injured in the crash. Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Charges against the drive and SUV are pending.
