Ohio State Highway Patrol officer pleads not guilty to domestic violence

WILMINGTON, OH (FOX19) -

An Ohio State Highway Patrol officer appeared Monday in Clinton County Municipal Court and entered not guilty pleas on two counts of domestic violence.

A judge set bond at $1,400. A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for April 29.

Lt. Michael Sanders, commander of the highway patrol's Wilimington post, is not to have any contact with his ex-wife. He also has to turn in his weapons.

Sanders is currently on leave from the highway patrol. He posted bond and was released from the Clinton County jail.
