OVER THE RHINE, OH (FOX19) - The Rookwood Pottery Co. hosts its annual spring open house at its Over-the-Rhine factory and studios Saturday and Sunday.
The weekend event will feature new works by artists George Hibben, Roy Robinson, Dan Dutton and Allan Nairn as well as revived works by historic artists Louise Abel and Kataro Shirayamadani.
Guided tours will be given hourly on both days and artists will be available to answer questions.
Visitors can see how Rookwood Pottery is created through guided tours at 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Saturday, and 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. Sunday A kiln opening, revealing items fresh from the kiln, is 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
Hours of the open house are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Rookwood Pottery is located at 1920 Race St. Additional parking is available at the corner of Race and McMicken streets.
