Accuser spoke of suing Bryant within a month of alleged attack
Newly released court documents show a woman who accused Kobe Bryant of rape had spoken of suing him in civil court within a month of the alleged attack. The details are in testimony from Sean Holloway, who knew the 19-year-old alleged victim from school. Holloway said the woman told him she most likely would file a civil suit after the criminal case was over. He testified that the woman, an aspiring singer, wanted to use any award money to open a recording studio and to pay for breast augmentation surgery for herself and a friend, among other things. Prosecutors dropped the criminal case against Bryant on September first after the woman said she no longer wanted to participate. The woman has filed a civil suit against Bryant that seeks unspecified damages.
