Aggravated robberies reported near Miami, police arrest four suspects

OXFORD, OH (FOX19) -

Two men and two teenage boys have been arrested in connection to two separate aggravated robbery incidents last week at an Oxford apartment complex, Oxford Police said Wednesday.

Oxford Commons, where police said the incidents happened, is near Miami University's campus.

Arrested were:

  • Nathaniel S. Nickel, 19, of Oxford, two counts of aggravated robbery, a first degree felony
  • Carson B. Buell, 20, of Hamilton, two counts of complicity to aggravated robbery, a first degree felony
  • Male juvenile, 17, of Oxford,  one count of aggravated robbery, a first degree felony 
  • Male juvenile, 17, of Oxford, one count of aggravated robbery, a first degree felony

Police said the first incident was at approximately 1:30 a.m. Friday when a female Miami University student reported having her purse and cell phone stolen after being confronted at gunpoint by two suspects in the parking lot of Oxford Commons near the 1800 building.

The second incident was at approximately 2 a.m. Saturday. A Miami student said money was stolen from him after two suspects confronted him in the parking lot of Oxford Commons near the 300 building.
