HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) -

Speaker John Boehner made stops Thursday in Butler County.

With the primary election less than two weeks away, he is making his rounds campaigning in Ohio.

On Wednesday, he was in Greenville. Thursday, he will be in the Greater Cincinnati area.

His first stop was 10 a.m. at  Kaivac Cleaning Systems in Hamilton where he'll speak about jobs. From there, he will be in Middletown having a noon lunch with the Middletown Rotary Club.

Boehner started campaigning early this month running television ads. Those are his first television ads since 2010.

He is facing opposition in the primary election with three other Republicans running against him.

Although many are welcoming him home to the Cincinnati area, others are expected to stage a noon protest at his West Chester Township office.

The protest will feature unemployed workers who want to extend unemployment benefits.
