Sticky situation for Yankees pitcher Michael Pineda
New York Yankees pitcher Michael Pineda was ejected from Wednesday night's game against the Boston Red Sox after the umpire walked to the mound, touched his neck and felt a sticky substance on it.
TV cameras spotted what appeared to be Pine Tar, which is an illegal substance for major league pitchers, on Pineda's neck in the second inning. This is a little less than two weeks after a mysterious substance on was spotted on his hand, which he claimed was dirt.
Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman told ESPN's Wallce Matthews, "We as an organization are embarrassed. He should not have been allowed out of our dugout like that."
Google Street View adds 'Time Machine' feature
Google Street View can now pretty much explore all corners of the earth, and with the latest upgrade, users can travel back in time to see how locations have changed.
This 'time travel' feature debuted Wednesday.
"You can travel to the past to see how a place has changed over the years by exploring Street View imagery in Google Maps for desktop," said Vinay Shet, Google Street View product manager, in a blog post.
You can see what neighborhoods and landmarks looked like at different periods during the past seven years - which is the amount of time Google has been sending the camera-toting cars out.
Some of them actually show dramatic changes, including the Freedom Tower in New York City, World Cup Stadium in Brazil and the reconstruction after the devastating 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Onagawa, Japan.
It's currently only available on the desktop version. Check it out here.
