Police identify motorcyclist killed in Avondale accident

AVONDALE, OH (FOX19) - Cincinnati Police have identified the man killed Thursday afternoon in an Avondale motorcycle accident.

Police say that 44-year-old Timothy Davis was driving north on Reading Road near Glendale Avenue around 4 p.m. when a Jeep Liberty, traveling in the opposite direction, made a left turn in front of the motorcycle.

Officers say that Davis' head hit the pavement during the crash. Police say he was not wearing a helmet.

Davis was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he died from injuries sustained in the accident.

Authorities say that Marie Willingham, 77, was driving the Jeep. Officers say she was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.

The Traffic Unity is continuing their investigation. Witnesses to the crash are asked to contact the Cincinnati Fire Department at 513-352-2514.

Reading Road near Glendale Avenue was closed for several hours while the traffic unit investigated the accident.
