TIME Magazine's 100 Most Influential People

Time Magazine unveiled its 11th annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world on Thursday, with a record number of 41 woman and Beyonce gracing the cover.

"Beyoncé doesn't just sit at the table," wrote Facebook COO and Lean In author Sheryl Sandberg. "She builds a better one."

Three additional covers inside the magazine feature Hollywood legend Robert Redford, General Motors COE Mary Barra and openly gay NBA player Jason Collins.

President Barack Obama appears for the ninth time, more than any other person on the list. He also wrote a tribute for Pope Francis. Some of the others included are: Secretary of State John Kerry, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Miley Cyrus.

The issue goes on sale Friday.

Ronald McDonald gets a Millennial makeover

There is a new Ronald McDonald for the millennial age, and he's wearing cargo pants.

McDonald's announced the clown will begin taking a more active role on social media for the first time using the hashtag #RonaldMcDonald. The company says they'll post photos and videos of him on its existing social media accounts.

He'll also be in commercials later this year wearing new clothes, including cargo pants and a vest.

"His iconic big red shoes will remain the same," McDonald's said in a statement.

The famous mascot faded to the background in recent years as McDonald's received criticism for using him to market to children. However, the company says he's ready for this "selfie" and will take a higher-profile role to boost weak sales.

Forget the Cronut, Meet the Wonut

Step aside donuts, Cronuts and chocolate chip cookie milk shots. There is a new partner in delicious town, and it looks mouthwatering.

Waffles Café in Chicago has a half-waffle, half-donut called the "Wonut."

It's made with a slightly thicker version of the café's waffle batter. The Wonut is dipped and sometimes double-dipped in sugar, marshmallow, maple or chocolate glaze. Then it's topped with sprinkles, chocolate shavings and more.

According to Thrillist, it's "crispy and waffle-shaped on the outside, and cakey and fluffy on the inside"

Wonut flavors have included (but not limited to):

  • Mexican chocolate with spicy cocoa inside and a candied orange peel and dark chocolate shavings on the outside
  • Whole wheat with toasted marshmallow glaze, granola, and dried fruit
  • Green tea with Japanese matcha powder, candied pistachios, and ginger
  • Birthday cake with sugar icing and sprinkles
  • Red velvet classic with red velvet shavings on top
  • Double chocolate
