ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - School officials in Anderson gathered on Monday night to discuss the future of the 'aging buildings' within the Forest Hills School District.
Board members discussed a proposal that would potentially merge Turpin and Anderson High Schools into one school. Members also discussed a similar reconfiguration with the elementary schools.
Those in favor of the merger say the current buildings are in poor condition. The new school would provide better resources for students.
However, those in favor of keeping Turpin and Anderson as separate schools favor keeping tradition. Advocates of this approach are pushing for renovations in both schools.
The board plans to hold another special session within two or three weeks to further discuss building plans.
