OVER THE RHINE, OH (FOX19) - Three new storefronts have been revealed at Findlay Market. A craft chocolate maker and barbeque restaurant will open shop in Over the Rhine in coming months.
Eli's BBQ and Maverick Chocolate were revealed as the newest additions at Findlay Market on Tuesday. A third storefront was also revealed. However, no business has yet committed to the space.
"We've had a great amount of interest expressed in this store front," said Jon Hansbauer, president and CEO of Findlay Market. "We're ready to hear additional ideas from the public for things they would like to see at the market or from potential business owners that would like to be here."
Hansbauer says he understands there are various gaps in what the market offers.
"We would love to see some smoked meats, Hispanic groceries or some cookware. There are opportunities here at the market," he said.
Maverick Chocolate will be both selling and making chocolate at their new Findlay Market store.
"We're making craft chocolate. It's a bean to bar chocolate so we're actually going to do all of the chocolate making processes right here inside this facility," said Paul Picton with Maverick Chocolate.
Eli's BBQ was excited to announce the expansion of their local brand.
"We're really excited to have a storefront and have a restaurant that's permanent so we don't have to lug stuff around," said an official with Eli's BBQ.
Findlay Market is Ohio's oldest continuously operated public market.
