A Forest Park mother is facing a child endangering charge after authorities said she abandoned her 12-year-old son.
Alicia Barham, 45, last Friday allowed the boy "to run the streets for many days without reporting him as a runaway," authorities said.
Barham moved from Forest Park to Northside. She left the child to find money, food and shelter for himself, according to court documents. The child was forced to stay with the family of schoolmates with no prior arrangement by Barham.
Barham was arraigned Wednesday in Hamilton County Municipal Court. She was ordered not to have contact with the child. Bond was set at $10,000.
Barham was convicted two years ago of a endangering children.
