(WMC) - Details are surfacing about the wedding of Memphian Lizzy Wilson and London nightclub owner, Guy Pelly. The wedding is expected to bring Pelly's longtime friends, Prince William and Prince Harry, to Memphis for two days.
The Memphis TACT Unit was seen on Wednesday scoping out at least one location where the royals may visit. Paparazzi are all over town as well.
People attending the wedding say New Scotland Yard, London's Metropolitan Police Service, has done background checks on everyone who will be at the wedding, which will be held at Memphis Hunt & Polo Club on Saturday.
Paparazzi were hanging out outside the Rendezvous restaurant in Downtown Memphis. Owner John Vergos says the princes have made no contact to the famous barbecue eatery, but WMC Action News 5's cameras captured restaurant employees tidying up.
"We'd love for them to come down, but we've had no notice they'll be here," said Vergos.
An MPD TACT Unit entered the building hours before it even opened.
"When the president came, we actually had to close down. Nobody's called us about closing down our restaurant," Vergos added.
While Vergos will not confirm whether the royals are coming, Kontji confirmed Memphis hotel heiress Lizzy Wilson and her fiancé, London nightclub owner Guy Pelly, will have a shindig at Rendevous sometime in the next few days.
Original Ink Designs founder Kathryn Miller designed handmade invitations for the Rendezvous event.
"I think it's really cool. I've always been a fan," said Miller. "Just knowing they [Prince William and Prince Harry] would receive one of the invitations, which had my company name on the back, I thought, 'Wow, this is really great.' "
Across town, in East Memphis, Chopper 5 captured an exclusive bird's eye view of the Memphis Hunt & Polo Club's luxurious grounds where wedding preps are in full swing.
Crews are constructing a metal frame perfect for a wedding tent, while landscapers are also busy at work.
Friends say the couple is in town preparing for the event and that the royals will stay at The Peabody Hotel in Downtown Memphis. Friends say the royals are considering a visit to Graceland.
