Indiana conservation officers are investigating the drowning death of a 19-year-old man.
Authorities say Thomas Herring was reported missing around 2 p.m. Tuesday from his Sunman, Indiana home. Herring's parents found his clothing beside a neighbor's pond and said it appeared he had gone swimming, according to authorities.
Divers were called in and located Herring's body around 7 p.m. Authorities say he was submerged eight feet under water and ten yards out from a small fishing pier.
Police say it's unclear why Herring entered the water, as he was not a strong swimmer. They are continuing to investigate the incident.
