Bush: troops in Fallujah doing "hard work" of building free Iraq
President Bush says US troops attacking insurgents in Fallujah are doing "the hard work" of building a free Iraq.
The president spoke to reporters at Walter Reed Army Hospital, after he and the first lady spent more than two hours visiting wounded soldiers. Bush said US and Iraqi forces moving into the rebel stronghold hope to "bring to justice" to the insurgents he says are trying to "terrorize the Iraqi people." Bush says the rebels are not going to succeed in stopping Iraq's transition to democracy. The visit to Walter Reed was Bush's sixth -- and the first since March.
